The
Alumni Award for General Engineering Students was established
in 1996 by Thomas A. Prickett on behalf of the
GE Alumni
Board, of which he just completed two years as President.
The award was established to recognize GE students
who excel
not only in their scholarship but leadership and citizenship
as well.
This
award fund has been set up with the hope of assisting promising
well-rounded GE students who will become successful alumni.
Alumni know best the many opportunities that are available
for GE students. They wish to encourage as many students
as possible to take advantage of the unique nature of the
General Engineering curriculum, which allows for the
integration of diversity in technology, management, and
education.
