Graduate Program

Master of Science in General Engineering

The MSGE program offers flexibility by permitting the student to (i) select from a menu of advanced courses, and (ii) take a wide range of electives to meet individual career goals. In the thesis option, the student selects 28 SH of coursework plus a minimum of 4 SH of thesis research (GE599) for a total of 32 SH toward the degree. In the project option, 28 SH of coursework plus 8 SH of project design (GE 594) must be completed. In both cases, 12 SH of coursework must be chosen from courses at the 500-level , and 8 SH of these must be from a menu of approved GE courses. Moreover, a total of 12 SH of the 28 SH must be taken as GE courses (which are not independent study).

The MSGE program is not accepting new students and is being replaced by the MS SEE degree program.
